PostgreSQL is a cross-platform database management system. It is supported on all the popular operating system including Linux/Unix, Mac, Windows, Solaris, etc. However we will install PostgreSQl on Linux Ubuntu 20.04 LTS.
As of current, Ubuntu 20.04 LTS comes with Postgre 12 in the apt repositories. But currently the latest version of PostgreSQL is 13. So If we just simply run
$ sudo apt install postgresql. Then it is going to install PostgreSQL 12.x. But we want to install PostgreSQL 13. Let’s Install the latest version.
Install PostgreSQL Latest Version
Open up the terminal then add the following custom repository for latest version of PostgreSQL.
