Definition – What is HTML (Hypertext Markup Language)

HTML stands for Hypertext markup language is a standard markup language for creating the web page and web application as well. It is a web standard created and recommended by world wide web or w3c. HTML basically works in all web browser in order to show web pages. It also can be programmed with a scripting language like javascript to make the web page interactive and also can be programmed with stylesheet language like CSS (Cascading Stylesheet) in order to design web pages.

Basically, HTML describes the web page structure by tag section. The tag is the basic fundamentals of HTML. For example; <P> is a tag is HTML that says to the browser to implement the content inside the tag as the paragraph. That means <P>All the page exists on the web constructed by HTML tag element</p>It is actually a paragraph. Like this about hundred of tags are available officially for HTML standard.

Who learns HTML?

All the web developer must learn HTML primarily. In every field of web development or web application development, HTML is the must.  From the simple static web pages and websites to most complex and dynamic websites use HTML to serve the rich media and text to the end user. It is actually used in client-side programming. But also, sever side developer should know HTML in order to relate or interact the server side program code with client-side code that basically happens directly with HTML.
