Hello World Program in C

“Hello, World!” Program

Hello, World!” program is the simplest program in the C programming language. It generally compiles the String “Hello, World” and finally send it/execute it to display “Hello, World!” message.

To write the and execute Hello World program you will need a text editor to write the source code and then to compile the code the C/C++ compiler to be compiled the code and finally execute the string.

#include <stdio.h>
int main()
    {
        printf("Hello, World!");
        return: 0;
    }

Output:

Hello, World!

Write down the above source code into a text editor the compile it and finally execute it by giving the executing command. You can also use an online compiler or use an IDE (Integrated Development Environment) like CodeBlocks, Netbeans, Eclipse etc.

What is next?

In the next chapter, we will learn how the basic instruction compiled by the GNU C/C++ compiler. We will break down every section of the hello world program then we will drive into details.
